Juice Pitcher Competition on Vator.tv
Below is a great competition from vator.tv and TheFunded.com for all entrepreneurial minds. Thank you, Chris Surdi, for letting us know about this great competition.
“Ten of the hottest early-stage companies will get to give a 3-minute pitch and demo. Presenting founders are selected by their peers via the Juice Pitcher Competition on Vator and will strut their stuff in front of an audience of 300 founders, press, and investors. One lucky presenting company will get to give a shortened 90 second pitch and be reviewed onstage in the “Juice Box,” a special edition of VatorNews’ Vator Box show, where the founding member of TheFunded, Adeo Ressi, Ezra Roizen (digital media investment banker and Vator Box regular) and myself will critique the presenters”
- Bambi Francisco, Founder and CEO, Vator, Inc..

Million Dollar Business Idea Contest
Update: Thank you to all those who made it out to this meeting. Here are pictures of our first meeting of the year.
When: Sept. 14, 2009 – 8:00 PM
Where: Martin Luther King Library Room #225
Speaker: Adam Cheyer – Co-founder & VP of Engineering, Siri, Inc. [Biography]
First ES Meeting of the Year – “Million Dollar Idea Contest”
- Learn what ES is all about and benefits of joining
- Meet and network with other students and start a team
- Have brainstorm activities and overall idea contest
If you’re interested in checking out ES, this is the best opportunity! This event is our first of the year – it will bring students of majors, interests, backgrounds, skill sets, and personalities together. There is no stereotypical entrepreneur. We will reach across the discipline of the SJSU community to utilize the people, potential, and intellectual property we have yet to tap into.
We will have a brief and inspiring speaker, and students will be given the opportunity to split into groups, brainstorm, settle on an idea, write a mission statement, and share it with the room. We’ll vote, and the winning group will win free ES t-shirts.
Whether you have an outstanding business idea, simply a cool idea for an art project, or a tech innovation, this event welcomes the fullest range of creativity available. You do not have to be a “business person” or business major to come check out ES. If you want to see what ES is all about and experience one of the most invigorating creativity boosts possible, come out to our live brainstorm and sit in on groups as they put heads together and generate creative ideas.
Also: For those who are interested, at 6:00pm, the Silicon Valley Center of Entrepreneurship will have a speaker on Entrepreneurship, more details to come.
