Congratulations to all 2010 Business Plan Competition Winners! Michael Bayne of “Rota Mobility Inc.” took home the $10,000 check with Will Steinberger Bret Yerkovich in close second taking home $5,000 for “iJockey”. Helen Heydeman, Frederic Rouhana, Arash Rahimi, and Rita Sader of “Hops Beer Bar” took 3rd place along with a check for $2,500. Andrade Scholarship Extension

The Andrade Scholarship for Entrepreneurship has been extended until August 27th at midnight. The winner will receive $5,000 for up to three more years as an SJSU undergraduate.

Scholarship for Entrepreneurship Student

We have been delighted to receive information regarding a new entrepreneurship scholarship this past week. “The Michael and Sherry Andrade Merit Scholarship for Entrepreneurship” will go to the student (preferably sophomore or junior status) that demonstrates a desire to become a career entrepreneur and has a proven track record of entrepreneurship. The winning applicant will receive $5,000 each school year for the next 3 years. In order to participate, you must write a series of six small chapters detailing your life in various stages. For more information on the essay and the complete list of requirements, please see see below.

The 2010 Silicon Valley Business Plan Competition is just around the corner. The SVBPC is an annual forum designed to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in the SJSU community and reward student participation in new venture creation. Please register your business or idea ASAP!

NOTE: The Competition is open to ALL SJSU students, alumni, faculty and staff.
